Stacy Dean Campbell - "One False Move"
These guys rolled in to Green Bay in a big white van when I was setting up for the main act at this great bar on the east side. As soon as they got out of the van, I offered them a joint of some bodacious white widow, and welcomed them to town. They played an absolutely incredible show, really overshowing the main act. Bought this cd there and then, and have it on my favorites playlist
Gear is good! Thanks T.Adams for sharing the Gear Daddies with me on the USS Shiloh back in the 90s.
I think Marty got beaned by a random can of Spam .. hating on Austin Minnesota.
Happy memorial day people, 2024.
🪖🪦🇺🇲 🫗🤜🤛
Always a go to on Memorial Day
Is Marty really bagging on Austin MN? Spam capital of the world..say it's not so .
Amazing song writer, paints a picture with the words. Such a great band.....
Everything I hear by GDs is a straight up BoDeans rip off..
The photo is of the original Cardinals not Whiskeytown.🤩

Big tornado coming right for me Picking up cars and blowing down trees I see it out the window I just don’t care Sitting on my rug, I ain’t going nowhere Let the four winds blow Walls fall down Scatter my bones all over this town Big tornado but I just don’t care Sittin’ right here I ain’t going nowhere Neighbors in the basement I supposed Bet’cher down in Little Rock folding his clothes Coming up the drive but I ain’t scared Dead or alive I ain’t goin’ nowhere Let the four winds blow….. Big tornado coming right for me Picking up cars and blowing down trees Knocking on the door, well come on in The keys are on the floor Go on, take ‘er for a spin Let the four winds blow…..
Honey get a handle, get a grip Get ahold of yourself Baby take a walk Or take a trip Or take a look at yourself Deep depression got ahold on you Well go ahead just leave What in the world do you want me to do? You’re just a little hard to believe And drown you It don’t get better than this Microwave oven, VCR and a color TV Remote control, honey tell me what more do you need? Satellite dish on your double wide And two cots in the yard Barbeque grill standing tall outside It’s really not so hard Look around you It don’t get better than this It might be true there’s a thing or two That you and I ain’t tried But take a minute girl Think of all you got Tell me you’re not satisfied Hey look around you It don’t get better than this Honey get a handle, get a grip… You find yourself a Cadillac Coup deVille And drive it to the promised land Little green black-eyed girl I know you will Maybe you’ll understand Hey look around you It don’t get better than this Honey get a handle, get a grip…
Happy Memorial Day weekend folks!
great song...
So sad that my comment is #5. Gear is good
One of my favorite albums ever!!
Very nice.
"Me and old Jack Daniels, become the best of friends. We got all them baptists to die for our sins" Love that line, and the rest of the lines in this song.

I wish i could go back in time to when i first heard this album.
Happy Memorial Day, 2022.
Going to miss you Toby RIP brother 😭
Suspect this will get a lot of listens this week.
Condolences to you and your band members. Toby RIP. BHSN lost another too soon.
Looks like the Wesleyan University library
hahahah!
I miss it when Fairfax was cool.
Great Band and a great song.
Hello?
YO!
What the leftist liberal community has done to Ryan Adams is a complete disgrace! Unreal how disgraceful they are treating this artist!
He has risen above it😎
@@flyingburritobro68 by the way, the flying burrito Brothers are an awesome band 👍
@@Nick-fi1mcYea especially the Gilded Palace Of Sin album which was recorded in 68 and released in early 69😎
Yeah, it's a shame the commies forced Ryan Adams to treat women (and people in general) like shit for a few decades. Clearly they're to blame for the fact he's a spoiled, privileged asshole. Oh, and the fact most of the people who used to work with him have nothing good to say about the experience is probably someone else's fault, too.
This song will always be one of my favorite Whiskeytown songs. I lived in a city across the border from North Carolina which had a textile mill (factory). It was the life blood of the city and employed a ton of people. Then the CEOs started shipping the industry overseas. The city's lifeblood was lost. The same thing happened to the mills in North Carolina, too. I often wondered about the thought process with this song.
We put this on the video capturing life during a summer at Wall Drug in South Dakota.... 1991
sweet
Also love this song, and it reminds me of all the times Richard didn't play it on his concerts, and there was this one guy on the Richard Shindell email reflector (remember those?) who was lobbying hard for him to do so :-)
Perhaps the most underrated band of the 90's.
Gay
greatfuckinband
This cover of the Stones classic is so far removed from the original that they keep little more than the lyrics. The group, Hem, almost defies categorizing. In this case, to me, they evoke the feel of Delaney and Bonnie. I can almost imagine Leon Russell harmonizing and handling the piano bits. facebook.com/CoverVersionOfTheDay/
Bonus points if you can name the coffee shop in fairfax hes was singing about.

Beautiful song - still sounds very fresh
I do so love gospel music..
Loved this record
Did I imagine it or did there used to be a music video for this song on youtube? I recall it was just like the lyrics and had the singer in 7-11 checking weird people out and looking bored.
i remember that!
@@CrazyCanuck91 ok so I'm not crazy then!
@@jakedibiase7404 or maybe im crazy too....lmao
I first heard this beautiful tune on a "CMJ" cd back when it 1st came out in '98 Still love this song!!
This is just plain beautiful
Clearly there is something personal to Ryan in this song. He is speaking to someone he knows, though it doesn't really matter whom. Like an electric current, it touches us directly, in a way he can't transmit anymore, locked up in his studio in San Francisco or wherever he spends his days. Please come back to us Ryan.
love this
Whopper Tune, these guys are magic ⭐🤯😁👍🙃
Dedicated to us whom grew up & lived it
Song means more to me every year I live
Love this song.
